Who the Hell is Eddie Warner
Currently, at the age of 31, Eddie finds himself more at peace than ever before. He is going to university for marketing and music to assist other rap artists by selling beats for them and tending to a popular beat store and blog that he loves writing for. He has dreams of continuing his education and broadening skill set until he can own his own label one day, and has hopes that one day he can help other aspiring artists get their foot in the door in the music business and guide them into all the right directions.
Suddenly Eddie finds himself hanging out with new friends and having the time of his life. After an unexpected break-up with the love of his life who he had hopes of settling down with, Eddie leaves everybody behind and jumps on a train to California to do some work on his spirit...
While traveling the sunny coast of California, Eddie Warner finds his sweet spot and learns to actually love himself without bounds. He starts tuning in to an underground rap radio station known as "The List" that is popular with the locals in Santa Cruz. The List is an 8 to 1 am radio broadcast presented by a former Art Institute graduate and producer with an ear for amazing music and a hand-picked list of rappers that have become extremely popular, almost overnight due to their over-confident vibes and their hard as hell hooks.
When Eddie suddenly finds himself freestyling to a favorite song by one of the rappers on The List's lineup and comes to the painful realization that he could have missed one of his favorite rappers, he races back to Houston to tell his friends the good news, and finds out that his best friend Ghost's mother has made a miraculous recovery from cancer, setting Ghost free to pursue a promising rap career with Eddie.
There's something in the way though... Eddie realizes that he feels indebted to the members of The List because he had long since left his dreams of performing behind because due to the fact that he couldn't open up in front of people with the kind of confidence it took to rhyme on time...
But how could he tell them? They were famous and elusive at this point. He couldn't just walk up in their studio and say, "Hey do one of your songs, let me show you what I've got." They would think he was crazy...
Ghost and Eddie decide that they have to get Eddie on the list, so that they can make their debut and have all due respect paid to Eddie's spiritual rap mentors.
Join Eddie Warner and his best buddy Ghost as they formulate the perfect plan to win themselves an audition to get on The List, and watch as they single-handedly alter their innermost dreams into a reality in this aww inspiring dream come true story of love, friendship, and big ballers!
