14 Romance Books Matched With Hogwarts Houses

Harry Potter is a phenomenon in the pop culture world. It has stayed with us for a very long time and continues to be there for the new generations. It has its ups and downs as we know, but we cannot deny that it’s part of our society. When it comes to books, I love knowing what the authors think their characters’ Hogwarts houses are. It says a lot about them and it’s a joy to get to know the houses of the romantic pair in the book we’re reading. Here are romance books matched with Hogwarts houses!

Slytherin/Hufflepuff Pairing

The Wallflower WagerThe Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare

One of my favorite 2019 romances, The Wallflower Wager introduces us to this cute wallflower who rescues animals and the wicked Duke who falls madly in love with her.

Gabriel needs to clear out all the animals Penelope has. She will do it if he finds them a home. Every single one of them. It’s easier said than done, and soon after his life will be so connected to Penny’s and her group of friends.

The Austen Playbook by Lucy Parker

I’m a die-hard Lucy Parker fan. In fact, I have even read her upcoming 2020 title and let me tell you, it’s just as delicious as her other ones.

The Austen Playbook is all about the hard theatre critic and the joyful sweet actress. These two will collide so many times, but they will find out that each brings something to the relationship and that they cannot stop spending time together.

XeniXeni hogwarts houses by Rebekah Weatherspoon

A Rebekah Weatherspoon marriage of convenience romance? It’s something you need to pick up!

Xeni only wanted to claim her inheritance, but it has its terms and conditions…like marrying this one thicc Scottish dude who she just met. Her aunt really had a sense of humor.

A Prince on Paper by Alyssa Cole

And this Alyssa Cole fake engagement romance? *chef kiss* A must!

Nya left Thesolo for the glam life in NYC. She found out her Prince Charming only exists in her video games. When she has to go back to Thesolo for a royal wedding, she finds herself face-to-face with the real-life celebrity prince who she loves to hate.

Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff

The Right SwipeThe Right Swipe by Alisha Rai

If you’re into the dating app scene and the romance stories that come out of them, The Right Swipe is going to be a perfect fit for you.

Rhiannon, the CEO of a dating app called Crush, meets Samson yet again a few months later at a conference. Their last meeting didn’t end well, so this really feels that it isn’t resolved yet. Samson is a sweetheart that you won’t be able to stop loving.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren

Another one of my all-time favorite books, Christina Lauren really made my year with it. Josh and Hazel are the best friends to lovers trope. But what I really love about them is that they don’t start the novel as best friends, they start as barely people who know each other. You can see their whole relationship grow from zero to a thousand heart eyes.

Gryffindor/Slytherin

A Duke by DefaultA Duke by Default by Alyssa Cole

I can’t help myself. I always need to add another Alyssa Cole book because they all are very, very good.

A Duke By Default brings us to Scotland, to this little swordmaker apprenticeship that will change Portia’s and Tavish’s life. They start their relationship with the wrong foot, but they’re really both trying not to have fantasies about each other. But oh well, surprise surprise, wait for the Happy Ending.

Gryffindor/Hufflepuff

White Whiskey BargainWhite Whiskey Bargain hogwarts houses by Jodie Slaughter

Oof. Ooooof. This title is simply amazing and I still remember all the little things. Jodie Slaughter became an author whose books I just have to buy every time she publishes a new one.

Both our main characters are part of the moonshining business. Hannah is the boss of her family while Javier is the son of the boss. They have been rivals for so long, but now they have a common enemy who is hurting their business and their families, so guess what? Marriage of convenience time!

Gryffindor/Ravenclaw Pairing

The Chai Factor by Farah Heron

Farah Heron’s debut novel needs to be on your 2019 list. You still have time to read it before the year ends!

Amira Khan is stressed; she has to finish her grad school thesis and she doesn’t need any distractions. Like dating! She plans to work in the quiet basement of her family’s home, but then she finds out her grandmother rented it to a barbershop quartet?

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

I’m always happy to talk about The Kiss Quotient, or any of Hoang’s books.

Stella thinks she needs experience in the dating department. So what better way to learn but from a professional, right? She decides to hire escort Michael. But what started off just as business, things become more and more every single day…

Grumpy Jake by Melissa Blue

This sweet and steamy novella is the cream to my pie. Melissa Blue is a must author too. This is her newest release and you will finish it so quickly and crave more! (I’m currently reading it!)

Bailey dislikes Jake the Rake. He has a bad reputation, plus he’s kind of grumpy? But his kid is so sweet and Bailey is his new teacher. Yeah, she’s going to be seeing more and more of this Jake the Rake.

The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite

Get ready to enjoy and love this sweet historical romance. The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics has an astronomer heroine falling in love with a widow? Yes, sign me up.

When Lucy is called to the Countess of Moth’s house to translate a French astronomy text, she takes the chance. Catherine is looking for a quiet widowhood, but when Lucy turns up at her door, that’s definitely not happening.

DAWHeroine Complex by Sarah Kuhn

Superheroes and romance? Sarah Kuhn created a whole series with them. Heroine Complex is just the first one, but each one gives you action and love and what more can you ask.

Evie Tanaka is the personal assistant to Aveda Jupiter, San Francisco’s most beloved superhero. And also her best friend. She always thought that was her place and that was fine with her. But then Aveda hurts herself and Evie has to take her place and become a superhero herself.

Ravenclaw/Slytherin Pairing

Prom Queen Perfect by Clarisse David

Prom Queen Perfect is an epic Gossip Girl meets Jane Austen romance. Our two protagonists are childhood best friends who suddenly turn into rivals/have a sort of hate-to-love relationship. Their families are very close and they go to the same parties. But they don’t like each other! They constantly banter and argue in front of everyone, but from there this relationship blossoms and becomes something more when Adam dares Alex to do something that isn’t selfish.

Are you a fan of putting your characters or an author’s characters into Hogwarts Houses? If so, what is your favorite dynamic or pairing?
