Get in the Holiday Mood With These Christmassy Book Pictures

When I rediscovered reading 12 years ago,  it was just before I headed home for Christmas. In the UK, where I’m from, the world more or less stops for ten days to two weeks in December as many people, regardless of their faith tradition, take a break to recharge, eat too much turkey, spend time with family, and watch heartwarming films on the BBC. It’s a truly a magical time – and the perfect time to catch up on reading.

Across Instagram, it seems people are getting in the mood to curl up with a book this winter, too.

What books are you hoping to find under the tree this December?

I love this picture, which subtly celebrates the season.

What’s better than a book at Christmas? A Christmassy book at Christmas!

What books are YOU wrapping and putting under a tree this December?

What's one thing on your holiday wish list? πŸŽ… . . New on the blog today: a holiday gift guide for the bookworm in your life, non-book edition. #linkinbio Books are a no-brainer (and hey we would never turn down one as a gift) but if you wanna think outside the box this year, go for one of these gift ideas. . . And, of course, Christmas is a great time for romance.

And here’s a great pic with one of my personal favourite seasonal book recs!

I have finally finished, One Day in December, and my rating is 3.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨. I am pretty disappointed in this read and thought the end of the book was rushed. I felt like the plot could have been done a lot better but it’s a pretty easy read. I expected a lot more from a book that was on the @bookofthemonth list and made @reesesbookclubxhellosunshine December pick. Have you read this book yet? What are your thoughts? πŸ’πŸ€” • • • • #booksandchristmas #reesewitherspoonbookclub #reesesbookclub #hellosunshinebookclub #onedayindecember #bookstagram #books #bookgram #josiesilver #christmascards #wrappingpresents #bookish #bookclub #bookstagrammers #bookgrammer #reading #readingisfundamental
